machines for sale—historically accurate, ready-to-go phonographs for those who want an exceptional, functioning showpiece for their home or office.
Let's face it; old phonographs are everywhere, and plenty of low-end or cobbled-together machines can be found at any flea market. You won't find those kinds of 'antiques' here.
This grouping represents the best in historically-accurate, unusual, and highly-presentable machines.
Most of what's offered here comes directly from my own personal collection, built up over many decades, and now being carefully downsized.
I am aware that buying items online carries real risk: swapped parts, overstated rarity, "Frankenphones" assembled from reproduction parts, and condition descriptions that don't match reality. Hackers/fraudsters/fakers are plentiful. This website has been active for almost 30 years, and I've been highly engaged in the hobby since the late 1970's. Reputation is highly important to me, as is proven by many repeat customers.
Every machine is completely torn down, inspected, and guaranteed—right down to the correct nuts, bolts and washers.
I don't sell any bargain machines, reproductions, or fixer-uppers. If you want an exceptional, authentic and fully-functional Victor phonograph, you have come to the right place!

PLEASE NOTE: We frequently receive order requests from customers wanting to play vinyl LP or 45 RPM records on these antique machines. Please be aware that these early Victors and Victrolas will only play shellac (not vinyl) 78 RPM records. They can not be used or adapted to play records, tapes, CD's or media of any type produced after the 1930's. We provide a good sample of age-appropriate records with every order.

Selling phonographs isn't my livelihood; it's now an efficient way to responsibly disperse portions of my personal collection, which began in the late 1960's. The goal is to attract buyers who value the same historical accuracy and quality that I do. The focus here is on high-quality midrange and upper-midrange machines, priced fairly, with no sales quotas, no storefront, no overhead, and no pressure. If it isn't historically correct, or it doesn't work as it should, I don't sell it. Period.
